Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, IET BHADDAL TECHNICAL CAMPUS, ROPAR organized a hospital visit at CIVIL HOSPITAL, ROPAR
Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, IET BHADDAL TECHNICAL CAMPUS, ROPAR organized a hospital visit at “CIVIL HOSPITAL, ROPAR ‘’ on 29th Oct, 2022 for D.Pharmacy students. Students along with faculty members visited the hospital. A detailed explanation regarding each department was given during the visit. This was followed by a detailed presentation about the role of pharmacy in hospital, drug distribution systems, inventory management and medication errors.
Students gained valuable knowledge about how hospital management works. Students received widespread awareness about various subjects and developed a firm understanding on the basic concepts of medical health care.
As a part of social responsibility, Pharmacy students & staff also visited the Old Age Home (Prabh Aasra) near Kurali later. Ms. Ishani, HoD( Pharmacy Department) briefed students about the objective of visiting this old age home which was helping physically and mentally disabled people in making their life better.
After the briefing, students took a tour of the old age home, met the people living there, interacted with them and presented them some eatables. The happiness and pleasure of the inmates of old age home, as IET BHADDAL students visited them was clearly visible. Speaking on the occasion, Director Campus S.S.Bindra, said that the students of college have always extended full moral and financial support to the needy persons. He added that the management of IET BHADDAL helps economically weaker students to carry out their studies under tuition fee waiver scheme also. Further, at the time of admission special scholarships are given to physically challenged persons, meritorious students, parentless students, children of defence personnel, fatherless children, single girl child, and leading sports persons.
Overall, the visit was very informative and enjoyable. Visit was organized successfully by Ms. Ishani & Ms. Jyoti Rani under the guidance of Principal Dr. Jitender Singh.
