Orientation Programme for Newly Admitted Students at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar

An Orientation Programme was organized today at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar, to welcome the students newly admitted for the academic session 2026–27.

The programme aimed to familiarize students with campus life, institutional rules and regulations, placement achievements and various initiatives for their overall development. The programme commenced with the recitation of Saraswati Vandana and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Tejinder Singh, Chairman of the Institute, extended his best wishes to the newly admitted students and wished them a bright and successful future.

Thereafter, Dr. Kanchan Sharma, Principal, GCS-IVS, formally welcomed the students and their parents in her welcome address. She stated that the objective of the Orientation Programme was to familiarize newly admitted students with the Institute environment and make their transition to Institute life comfortable and pleasant.

Following this, Dr. S.S. Bindra, Director Campus, addressed the gathering and stated that the primary objective of the institution is to ensure the holistic development of students and provide them with career-oriented education so that they can become responsible and successful individuals and earn a respectable position in society.

Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Group Director (Academics), apprised the students of the changing trends in the field of education and the new programmes introduced in accordance with the changing market scenario, time and requirements of the industry. He encouraged the students to work hard, develop their talents and skills and utilize their potential for the betterment of society.

Thereafter, Vishal Arora, Dean Academics, briefed the students about their respective curriculum, scholarship schemes and advanced technologies relevant to the present era. Nileshwar Taak familiarized the students with the rules and regulations of the University, Board and Campus through a PowerPoint presentation.

The Placement Cell also provided the students with detailed information regarding various job and internship opportunities, enabling them to understand the career prospects available to them during and after their academic journey.

At the conclusion of the programme, Charanjit Kaur, Assistant Professor, proposed a vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the guests, students, and parents for their presence and participation. The programme was efficiently anchored by Nitika Sharma, Assistant Professor. Among others, Ar. Gurpreet Singh, Principal – Architecture, Onkar Singh, Jatinder Kumar, Bhawanpreet Kaur and other faculty and staff members were also present on the occasion.
