Seminar on Road Safety Week organized in College Campus on 17th Jan, 2023

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is observing the Road Safety Week from January 11th to 17th, 2023, under “Swachhata Pakhwada”, to propagate the cause of safer roads for all. This is a crucial step in light of the rising number of deaths from accidents. The theme for the year 2023 is ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’. On the occasion of Road Safety Week in India, IET BHADDAL TECHNICAL CAMPUS, ROPAR has taken an initiative to promote awareness about road safety and share tips on how to prevent road accidents. Objective of this seminar is to celebrate Road Safety Week. Students, staff members and institute transport staff were made aware about various Road Safety measures to be taken for safe driving on the road. On the occasion, Campus Director Dr. S.S. Bindra said that road safety is a collective responsibility. He advised the commercial vehicle drivers to avoid over speeding and use of mobile phones while driving. He said that behavioral changes and positive attitude is must to avoid road accidents and save precious human lives. He added “ Let’s pledge to obey all the traffic rules set by the government for the safety of both drivers and pedestrians on the road and also offer timely help to accident victims. “ Seminar helped participants to learn various traffic rules.
