Special Expert Lecture on AI-Powered Cybersecurity Organized at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, in collaboration with TechLive, Mohali, organized a special expert lecture on AI-Powered Cybersecurity. The keynote speaker of the lecture was Navneet Singh, Marketing Head at TechLive, Mohali.

He provided detailed insights to students and faculty members about the role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of cybersecurity, its latest trends, and future challenges. He explained how AI-powered innovative technologies and security systems are proving to be milestones in preventing cybercrimes. He further stated that cybercrimes are increasing rapidly worldwide and in this context, Artificial Intelligence is emerging as a powerful tool. In particular, he highlighted the importance of Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics and Real-time Monitoring Systems.

On this occasion, Dr. S. S. Bindra, Registrar-cum-Director of the Campus said that such lectures inspire innovation and take academic research to the next level. While motivating the students, he urged them to take interest in new technologies and develop their skills in the field of cybersecurity, as in the future, there will be maximum job opportunities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity

Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Principal – Engineering) mentioned that such expert lectures provide students with opportunities to learn in depth about advanced technologies of today’s era beyond their regular curriculum. He also appreciated the efforts of the coordinators of this lecture, Bhag Singh and Karan Sharma.

At the end of the session, an interactive discussion was also held, where students asked questions related to cyber threats, data protection and AI-powered solutions. Navneet Singh answered each question satisfactorily
