National Conference at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar, Punjab during 13-14 October, 2023.

Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar, Punjab is going to organize Two Days 2nd National Conference on the theme “De Novo Drug Design, Drug Repurposing and Bioactivity-Guided Isolation: Opportunities, Challenges and Way Forward” during 13th-14th Oct., 2023 in technical collaboration with Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K. Dr Jitender Singh, Prof. and Principal, IPS Bhaddal and Dr Mubashir H. Masoodi, Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kashmir will be the Convener of this conference.

Dr Jitender Singh, Principal, IPS Bhaddal said that the main objective of conduct of the national conference is to provide a common platform to the professionals working in the field of pharmaceutical, microbiology, biotechnology, basic and medical sciences to share the current knowledge, recent updates and discuss the interventions among various disciplines of the basic, allied and health sciences which may find out better solutions for the emerging health issues; drug molecule synthesis & derivatization; dosage form design & formulation; Isolation of bioactive molecules from natural sources; herbal drug technology; clinical practices, etc. and to discuss the process, practices and various challenges in the development of a drug molecule on a single platform through various drug design and processes specially, De Novo Drug Design, Drug Repurposing and Bioactivity-Guided Isolation.

Dr Mubashir H. Masoodi, appreciated the step taken by the Institute to conduct a national conference on the worth scientific topic which might generate new ideas of research. Dr Masoodi extended their support to the Institute for faculty and students exchange program in future for the development of education system and welfare of students, staff and faculty. Coordinators of this conference Dr Jyoti Devi and Ms Ishani said that Expert speakers from various regions of country including New Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jharkhand, J&K, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal are going to participate in the conference and deliver lectures on various topics.

Dr S S Bindra, Director Campus, IET Bhaddal Technical Campus appreciated the initiative taken by Principal of the Institute and congratulated to the whole organizing team. Dr Bindra said such conferences plays an important role not only for the researchers but also for the society. Institute has also successfully organised the national conference last year in Nov, 2022 at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar under the leadership of Dr Jitender Singh in which around 300 participants benefitted.
