Akshay Urja Diwas Celebrated at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

Today, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus enthusiastically celebrated Akshay Urja Diwas. On this occasion, a special program was organized on the theme “Renewable Energy – The Need of the Future”, in which students and faculty members participated actively.

During the event, poster making, chart display and essay writing competitions were held, through which the importance of renewable energy sources was creatively highlighted. Students, through examples of solar panel usage, wind energy projects, biogas plants and small hydro projects, explained how these resources provide a sustainable solution for electricity generation for future generations.

On the occasion, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Principal – Engineering, spoke about the significance of Akshay Urja Diwas, stating that its main aim is to raise awareness among people about renewable energy and clean energy sources to ensure sustainable development for future generations. He said, “To reduce pollution, decrease dependence on fossil fuels and protect the environment, renewable energy is the best option.”

Registrar-cum-Director of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Dr. S. S. Bindra, in his address, said that IET Bhaddal not only imparts technical education but also makes students aware of their social and environmental responsibilities. He added that Akshay Urja Diwas reminds us that “Clean Energy – Safe Future” requires the contribution of everyone. It is not only a guarantee of economic development but also of a healthy future. He appreciated the efforts of Bhawanpreet Kaur, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, for this initiative.

In the end, the winning students were felicitated.
